I had the privilege of seeing Halestorm perform twice yesterday. The first time was at local music store ear X-tacy. Lzzy and the boys performed “Better Sorry Than Safe”, “Familiar Taste of Poison”, and “Get Off”. It was an acoustic set that really showed home much they enjoyed the intimacy of playing small sets like this. Afterward, the band hung out and chatted with us while signing autographs. I had the chance to talk with everyone and was really impressed by how humble they were. Later that night, they topped off a five band show at Uncle Pleasant’s. It was a hundred degrees in there by the end of the night! I purposely stayed away from the YouTube videos, so I had no idea how they were as a live band. It’s a small club and I had a great spot in front right between Lzzy and Joe. Needless to say, I was blown away! If anything, I thought they were better live than on the CD. They played the same set list as their other shows, including Lzzy’s amazing opening to “It’s Not You”. After this, I’m a confirmed “Hale-raiser” and my only dilemma is figuring out where I’m going to catch them next! Set List“It’s Not You” “What Were You Expecting” “Dirty Work” “Bet U Wish U Had Me Back” “Familiar Taste Of Poison” Drum Solo and Drum Line (Super awesome!) “Nothing To Do With Love” “Innocence” “Get Off” "Take My Life" (encore)Here’s some video from the acoustic set:“I Get Off” www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxP1-aw5Qmc“Familiar Taste of Poison”
